Visibility - Currently no debate
Currently no general definition
The extent to which participants understand what they’re engaged in. If an interactive work has high visibility then participants are able to see and understand their contribution to the work.
An example of high visibility would be a cash machine where you press a button with a number on it and that number appears on the screen.
An example of low visibility would be the Volume installation by United Visual Artists where participants were unclear about their effect on the work.
